Ensure
you have the correct hardware and software.
Check

Check

| Can't
run EverLink |
Program
first asks for a password. Ensure you enter at least
8 characters with at least 2 digits for the password.
Check
spacing in User Name and in Display Name (look in the
Setup Wizard windows and on the Visitor Info window
in Adding a Person to the Address Book); a slight difference
will prevent EverLink from running.
Was your
JRE moved to a different location or removed after you
installed EverLink? If so, you need to change the properties
of EverLink shortcut for Windows OS or change the shell
script for Solaris OS. Or simply uninstall and reinstall
EverLink. |
| Can't
connect to EntryGuard |
Ensure
you have a valid EntryGuard Domain Name, Private Port,
Account Name and Password entered correctly in the Site
Address tab.
If you
are going through a proxy or firewall, ensure that you
have access to the HTTP and HTTPS ports. Ask your network
administrator for this. Some proxy servers like Microsoft
Proxy Server require other settings in the registry
to allow you to go out a specific secure port other
than port 443.
Ensure
your EntryGuard domain name is valid and registered
with InternNIC and that the DNS servers have been updated
with your EntryGuard domain name.
|
| Can't
add names to Address Book from Server. |
Your
server might not be completely set up yet; check with
your Systems Administrator to verify. |
| Couldn't
add a person to Groups in the view Person: Visitor Info

You
cannot add a person to a Group if you haven't already
created a Group; create a Group first, and then add. |

Ensure
you have an account set up in the EverLink site you
are connecting to.

| e-File

folder/files that you are trying to access. Call them
and ask them to check the Visitor Access window under

| What
should I enter in all these password prompts? |
The
following passwords are case sensitive and require that
you enter at least 8 characters including 2 digits (we
strongly recommend that you use the same password
for all functions to avoid future confusion):
EverLink
owner password - This is the password you enter to start
EverLink. It is also the same password you enter to
run EverLink after it has been minimized from Windows.
The POP3
password is the password you use to get your new email
messages from your email server.
