How does EverLink assure privacy on the Internet and your corporate intranet?

The urgent need for privacy in Internet and intranet transactions is a concern for all who conduct any form of business on the web (for more on information security issues, visit the  Computer Security Institute web site). Given the ease with which hackers have been able to break into computer networks, you are probably asking yourself, “How can I protect my own computer network?” We, at Anyware Technology, have a solution. Our EverLink Suite can provide secure file transfer, e-mail, and instant messaging capabilities between geographically remote computers using HTTP (Internet) protocols even when the computers involved use different operating systems. In addition to a secure web-hosting functionality, EverLink can also provide secure and private communications between computers on opposite sides of a firewall – without breaching the firewall and while keeping the network behind the firewall totally invisible to outsiders.

What Remote business scenarios would be enhanced using EverLink?

Any scenario involving communications between remote computers can be enhanced with EverLink.

Mobile Workers/Outside Sales – With EverLink, sales personnel are just an Internet connection away from up-to-the-minute pricing, inventory, and delivery information. They can add new sales presentations and update presentations already on their laptops. Mobile workers can open files in remote computers – while you maintain complete control of what data they can access – and exchange files with others inside and outside the office.

Relationships with Business Partners – You can give customers and suppliers easy access to information they need without compromising confidential information.  Customers can communicate securely with logistics personnel -- in real time or via e-mail -- to track orders and download technical support files. Suppliers can access specifications for new products and send you files with information on their new products.

Platform-Independent Machine Administration – Because EverLink uses Internet Protocols, your information services department can quickly distribute files required to be on all computers across the network.

Securely connect with your corporate database, read your email and private documents from ANY remote, online computer with the SRAC Server.

What advantages in communicating with remote and mobile workers does EverLink offer compared to other data communications technologies?

EverLink is easy to use, yet very secure. System administrators can control who has access to specific information on each computer inside and outside the firewall. They can also control what information and files can be sent from one computer to another. When compared with other technologies such as Remote Access Servers, the EverLink Suite is easier to use and less expensive to implement.

What advantages does EverLink offer for internal – behind-the-firewall – data communications?

With the EverLink Suite, your employees can use familiar Internet browsing techniques to access data on computers behind your firewall -- as well as information on the Internet -- on computers used by remote and mobile workers, and on computers at customer and supplier locations. Yet, you maintain complete control of who has access to what files and of which files can be transferred from one computer to another.

In addition, unlike most internal e-mail systems, EverLink makes internal e-mail, file transfers and real time instant messaging totally secure. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connections eliminate opportunities for interception. Furthermore, sophisticated encryption makes messages and files illegible by any  unauthorized recipients. For additional information about SSL, please visit the Netscape Communications Corporation web site.

How do I determine which components of the EverLink Suite my organization will need?

If you protect your internal network with a firewall and want users on both sides of the firewall to exchange files, you will need the EntryGuard Server and the EverLink Client.

If you don’t have a firewall or if you use the EverLink Suite only for communications between computers outside your firewall or only for communications inside your firewall, the EntryGuard Server and EverLink Client will meet your needs.

How can I arrange a demonstration of EverLink?

A free 60-day trial version of EverLink is also available. However, you are more than welcome to contact us, and we will be  happy to answer any questions you may have about EverLink and how it can meet your needs.

How can I arrange to test EverLink for my organization?

Please contact us and we will be pleased to establish an EverLink Suite evaluation arrangement for your organization.

How can we license EverLink?

EverLink is now available directly from Anyware Technology. In the near future, EverLink will be offered only through Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Systems Integrators. Complete licensing information is available on the How To Buy page.

What effect will implementing the EverLink Suite have on my bottom line?

The EverLink Suite requires no investment in networking hardware and associated installation costs. Due to the EverLink client’s intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) and easy-to-use Web browser interface, end user training is minimized. It requires minimal administrative time for set up and maintenance.

Finally, the EverLink Suite should significantly reduce corporate monthly telecommunications costs through its use of the public Internet and user access via local telephone numbers to an ISP. When compared to alternate solutions, the EverLink Suite offers secure e-mail, instant messaging, and file transfer at a higher return on investment. Due to these benefits, the EverLink Suite offers a financially attractive solution towards the need to lower an organization's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

How is EverLink superior to a VPN?

To briefly sum up two main points, EverLink is superior to VPN's in that it requires no special connections and no setup connections - VPN's do. Also, EverLink offers a true end-to-end (or client-to-client) connection, whereas VPN's only offer server-to-server connections; the vital link between client and server is left unprotected, and open to hackers.
