Anyware Technology expands into Asia
Corporate offices are
set up in Beijing, as EverLink is adopted by
the People's Bank of China, 6/28/00
At a gala grand-opening
ceremony in the State Department's Presidential Guest
Hall (Diao Yu Tai), Vice-President Wu Xiao-Ling of the
Peoples Bank of China announced the mass deployment
of multi-regional check clearing systems in the financial
districts of Beijing and Tianjin, an event that is widely
hailed as a major breakthrough in banking technology
.
This system adopts Anyware
Technology's EverLink Suite to securely and efficaciously
transmit daily check transactions and clearances between
Beijing, Tianjin and numerous nearby cities. This area
is of particular economic importance as it is the major
financial power hub of Northeastern China, and is home
to 1,373 commercial banks and financial institutions
which are participating in this ground-breaking program.
During the last fiscal
year alone, more than 4,466 million check transactions
in excess of 5,105 billion RMB were conducted in this
area. EverLink, in providing the critical security infrastructure
in the deployment of this system, dramatically helps
to shorten the time in which deposited funds can be
made available, from a nerve-wracking 6 days down to
only 1 day. This will, in turn, help to stimulate greater
economic development and growth in this region by making
such critical financial resources more readily available
for business entities.
