ANYWARE TECHNOLOGY SHIPS NEW VERSION
OF EVERLINK SUITE
Software
Upgrade Brings New Levels of Flexibility and Ease of
Use To Instant Secure Remote Access and Communications
RSA DATA SECURITY
CONFERENCE, SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA (January 18, 1999)
Anyware Technology, Inc. today announced that
it has upgraded its powerful EverLink instant
secure communications and remote access software. Available
immediately, this new version of the EverLink Suite
provides new features that include easy installation
and start-up with a new set-up wizard, and user interface
enhancements that can bring the benefits of instant
secure remote access and communications to an even wider
audience. A peer-to-peer solution, the Java-based
EverLink application brings new levels of flexibility
and ease-of-use to private and secure electronic mail,
file transfers and real time instant messaging over
Wide Area Networks (WANs), the Internet or intranets.
"Our EverLink Suite
already provides organizations with a security solution
that is enterprise compatible, flexible and cost-effective,"
said Dahlia Rehg, director of marketing at Anyware Technology,
Inc. "With the latest product developments, weve
really transformed EverLink into a powerful business
solution. EverLink provides organizations with the ultimate
tool for giving users an easy to use instant communication
and access method, while still safeguarding the security
of the network and the enterprise."
User Enhancements
EverLink is now configured to be user-focused, rather
than feature-focused. The new set-up wizard allows total
installation in less then ten minutes. The new user
interface reduces training time and enhances productivity,
and gives users the flexibility to easily configure
the software to meet their individual needs. Users can
create buddy lists, instantly view the status of other
users, and easily send and receive messages, files and
documents.
Communication is instant
and secure, because EverLink is a peer-to-peer connection
and doesnt require routing communications through
a server. EverLink also provides the capability to remotely
access data and communicate with another authorized
user through a Web browser, eliminating the need to
install client software on the remote users system.
EverLinks Direct
Conversation feature allows two EverLink users
to hold an instant messaging session in real time with
full privacy and security. Sessions are authorized through
digital certificates and protected by SSL. The Direct
Conversation feature of EverLink delivers instant business
messaging as a strategic business tool.
Benefits to the
Organization
EverLink is an affordable,
secure alternative or complement to many other methods
of providing remote network access, including dedicated
leased lines, remote access servers (RAS), VPNs, and
direct dial-up.
EverLink enables systems
administrators to authorize individual user access
to designated areas of information behind the corporate
firewall, rather than granting all admitted users universal
access to the entire network. This distinguishing feature
provides unprecedented control over network access from
both inside and outside the organizations firewall.
EverLink utilizes advanced
security technologies including passwords, secure transport
with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), x.509 digital certificates,
activity logs, RSA® data encryption
and security level up to 168-bit.
Price and Availability
EverLink is available immediately and is sold exclusively
through Value Added Resellers and Systems Integrators.
EverLink is sold in a variety of license configurations,
depending on the number of users, making it configurable
for companies of all sizes. For example, prices range

About EverLink
Anyware Technologys EverLink Suite is comprised
of two integrated security-certified components:
- The EverLink Client
establishes a virtual office home page for direct
computer-to-computer links between authorized users,
verifies passwords and authenticates users before
it allows communication. To eliminate the danger of
interception, all access is peer-to-peer through SSL.
- EntryGuard
Server protects internal
networks from unauthorized access while allowing authorized
users to communicate securely and privately with specific
sites inside the firewall. EntryGuard also logs all
transactions across the firewall, adding an additional
layer of security. The server lists the addresses
for EverLink users office home pages, authenticates
the clients EverLink Owners Certificate,
and offers global search capabilities.
In addition, EverLink
Suite is bundled with a free 30-day demo of Aladdin
Knowledge Systems award winning anti-virus/anti-vandal
software product, eSafe Protect Enterpriseä.
